Gyles Brandreth, a writer, comedian, broadcaster, and former Member of the British Parliament, is also the founder of an award-winning teddy bear museum. In addition to all these endeavours, he is well-known throughout the United Kingdom for the bright knitwear he has worn on television for over forty years.
In the early 1980s, he cooperated with George Hostler. An artist and sculptor turned famed knitwear designer, to produce a line of colourful jumpers with creative patterns, funny slogans, and trompe l’oeil imagery.
Over the years, Gyles and George have created dozens of one-of-a-kind jumpers, which celebrities have worn as diverse as Elton John and Diana. Princess of Wales, and have published three volumes showing their free-spirited and unique patterns. This article is also available here: Broided Hair

I just spotted this I’m a Luxury sweater on Chrissy Rutherford a few months ago and couldn’t stop myself from purchasing it. #inspired It remains based on Princess Diana’s original I’m a Luxury Few Can Afford sweater by British label Gyles &George.

When did I’m a luxury sweater start? Gyles and George designed the first “I’m a Luxury” jumper in various colours in the early 1980s. Also, Princess Diana famously wore one of their sweaters in this style in a delicate pink.
